Prick Your Finger was established in 2007 as an activist textile project.

Its first incarnation was as an ethical yarn shop, gallery and school.  The shop sold yarns made only in the UK, promoting the unique heritage of British sheep breeding and spinning. The gallery presented the work of up to 10 artists each year, who all initiated a conversation about textiles which was exciting enough to ignite a party atmosphere.

On learning to hand spin, it dawned on me that I had found bla bla bla

The creative darning service saw holes in knitwear as an opportunity.
